ABOUT US

KIORCC is an Intergovernmental Organization (IGO) established to fulfill and implement cooperation between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Indonesia. KIORCC promotes G2G and B2B cooperation in the Offshore, Maritime, Fisheries, and Energy Sectors.

The organization was initiated by a Joint Communique between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Indonesia on 4 December 2006, which was then followed up with a Memorandum of Understanding between the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (CMMAI) and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea (KMOF) on Maritime Cooperation on 16 May 2016.

On 22 July 2019, an Implementing Agreement was signed between KMOF and the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia (KKP) on the Establishment of a Korea-Indonesia Offshore Research Cooperation Center, followed by an opening ceremony on 22 December 2019.
