KIOC

Korea-Indonesia Offshore Congress (KIOC) is established based on the collaboration between the Korean and Indonesian governments. This event is comprised of conferences with experts from related organizations and companies to identify trends in the general industry and to form cooperation between businesses. Such conferences also include 1:1 Business Meetings to identify business partners between companies and to promote the revitalization of subject companies in offshore plant services to collectively enhance the industry.

The 1st KIOC was held in Westin Chosun Busan, Busan, South Korea, from November 17th to 18th, 2020. The event was filled with various seminars discussing offshore Platform Decommissioning & Reutilization, LNG Value Chain, and Shipyard Modernization.

The 2nd edition of KIOC was held at Mulia Senayan Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia, on October 13th, 2021. The event covers the topic of LNG Regasification Infrastructure, Offshore Decommissioning and Reutilization, and LNG Logistics and Carriers. At the event, there was also an MoU signing between:

  • Elnusa-Samin MTS on the Joint Study of Underwater Cutting Development Project and Offshore Platform Decommissioning Technology.
  • GasEntec-GTSI on LNG Infrastructure Business Expansion in Indonesia.
  • JSK Shipping-Sangsangin Ship Machinery on the Procurement of Floating Storage & Regasification Units in Indonesia.

The 3rd edition of KIOC was organized on March 14th, 2023, in Raffles Hotel, Jakarta. The congress held discussions on topics such as LNG infrastructure, Rig-to-Reef policy, rig decommissioning, energy transition, and much more. MOUs were also signed by Korean and Indonesian Companies, namely:

  • PT Bina Rekacipta Utama – BMI on collaborations in offshore engineering business solutions;
  • Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. – PT Timas Suplindo on EPC collaboration;
  • PT Elnusa Tbk – Khan Co., Ltd on offshore service projects;
  • PT Jaya Samudra Karunia Gas – LNG Korea Consortium on LNG infrastructure;
  • PT PAL Indonesia – Gas Entec Co., Ltd on LNG Infrastructure;
  • Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Makassar – NewGen Information & Service Co., Ltd on the development of simulators for seafarer training; and
  • PT Pelayaran Korindo – Trans Gas Solution on LNG solutions and LNG bunkering.
