9-11 December 2025 – Korea Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU), through its Education Technology Research Support (ETRS) Center, in collaboration with KLCSM and KIORCC, successfully conducted a specialized seafarer training program at the Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pelayaran (STIP) Jakarta from 9 to 11 December.

The training was designed specifically for KLCSM seafarers, with a focus on enhancing technical competence and operational readiness in line with evolving global maritime standards. The program combined theoretical instruction and practical insights, drawing on STIP’s academic expertise and KLCSM’s operational experience in LNG shipping. During the three-day training, participants engaged in sessions covering advanced maritime operations, Korean company culture, safety management, and emerging trends in the offshore sector.
STIP Jakarta, as one of Indonesia’s leading maritime education and training institutions, provided the venue and facilitated the implementation of the program with its esteemed instructors and facilities, showcasing its commitment to strengthening the competence of Indonesian seafarers in accordance with international standards.

This joint training reflects the partnership between Indonesian and Korean institutions in maritime human resource development. Through continued collaboration with education institutions and shipping companies, KIORCC aims to support the development of highly skilled seafarers capable of meeting the challenges of a rapidly transforming global maritime industry.
