PROFIL PERUSAHAAN
KIORCC is an Intergovernmental Organization (IGO) established to fulfil and implement cooperation between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Indonesia. As the organization’s goal and objective, KIORCC seeks to promote Government-to-Government (G2G) and Business-to-Business (B2B) mutual benefit cooperation in the offshore, maritime, fisheries, and energy sectors.
KIORCC was initiated by a Joint Communique between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Indonesia on 4 December 2006. This then proceeded with an MoU between the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea on Maritime Cooperation on 16 May 2016.
On 22 July 2019, an Implementing Agreement was signed between the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea and the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia on the Establishment of a Korea-Indonesia Offshore Research Cooperation Centre, followed by an opening ceremony on 22 December 2019. This Implementing Agreement was renewed on 13 March 2024, where KIORCC activities will be maintained under the Directorate General of Marine and Ocean Spatial Management.
