29 September 2025 – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Korea Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU) Education Technology Research Support Center (ETRS Center) and the Balai Besar Pengujian Minyak dan Gas Bumi LEMIGAS (LEMIGAS) concerning Offshore Technology and Infrastructure Development for Energy Transition was finalized during the LEMIGAS Head’s visit to KMOU.

This MoU was finalized following collaboration discussions between KIORCC and Lemigas regarding various topics in the offshore sector relating to platform reutilization into LNG regasification terminals and CCS facilities, utilization of flare gas, and FLNG plant development in Indonesia that could be developed between Indonesia and Korea.

During his visit to KMOU, the Head of LEMIGAS, Mr. Mustafid Gunawan, also explained to the Director General of ETRS Center LEMIGAS’ role as a center of excellence for CCS and expressed satisfaction in discussing the high interest of LNG project development in Indonesia.
