19 February 2024 – The Korea Maritime and Ocean University Consortium (KMOUC) and Institut Teknologi PLN (ITPLN) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for Academic, Research, and Development Collaborations.

The signing ceremony was attended by the KMOUC Chairman, Prof. Dr. Oh Jinseok; KIORCC co-director, Mr. Cho Ilhyung; ITPLN Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir Iwa Garniwa; ITPLN Vice Rectors; and other ITPLN Members. The MoU supports future collaborations in joint studies on scientific and technological subjects, such as LNG infrastructure development and Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage, cooperation in capacity building, and joint scientific and technological meetings, among other things.

Discussions were also held to establish a scope of implementation, which included Korean language learning, guest lecturing opportunities, Emergency Management System, joint research, lecturer training, maritime studies, and harbor/dock topics.

KIORCC and ITPLN look forward to implementing mutually beneficial actions of this MoU. KIORCC is particularly eager to collaborate more with educational institutions in Indonesia.
