This meeting, attended by the signing parties and their related subsidiaries, was also supported by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (CMMAI), represented by Mr. Ridha Yasser, Assistant Deputy for Energy; the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF), represented by Mr. Enggar Sadtopo, Head of Offshore Installation Working Group; the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR); and SKK Migas from the Indonesian side, and was also virtually joined by KMOUC and a team of experts leading the study plan from Korea. For Pertamina group, PT Pertamina (Persero) was represented by the Vice President of Technology and Innovation, Mr. Ali Sundja, while PT PHE was represented by Sr. Analyst Business Development Interface, Mr. Jhon Henriano.

Relating to the rig re-utilization concepts within this study, namely Rig-to-LNG, Rig-to-CCS, and Rig-to-Fish-Farm, respectively, certain parts of the concepts need to be developed further by all stakeholders, including scopes of work, platform selection, and facilities. This kick-off meeting aimed to be one of many meetings held during the project period as a space for all parties, for companies and governments alike, to gain a firmer footing of the established collaboration and study plans.

Besides the rig re-utilization project, a discussion was also held concerning a Research and Development project between Korea and Indonesia for the potential development of a CO2 carrier vessel and injection implementation as part of the CCS value chain in Indonesia. KIORCC will continue to support and bridge the implementation of these projects between the two countries and related companies to ensure smooth implementation ahead.
