22 September 2023 – KIORCC successfully organized a webinar for 2023’s third quarter. The objective of this webinar aimed to provide information and garner the interest of Korean EPC and equipment supplier companies to take part in future regasification projects of PT. PLN (Persero), Indonesia’s national electricity provider. 

The speakers for this quarter’s webinar were from KIORCC and Korean companies who have knowledge of Indonesia’s energy sector and upcoming projects of interest. The over forty participants joining this webinar were representatives of interested companies in the field.

The first webinar session was a presentation by KIORCC, where an overview of the power plant gasification program and other strategic LNG projects in Indonesia was highlighted. For the second session, the topics of Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) and Onshore Regasification Unit (ORU) projects in Indonesia were discussed. The next speaker further elaborated on the PLN regasification project in Indonesia to the webinar’s participating companies. In the fourth session, Floating Gas Power Plants (FGPP) potential in Indonesia was also brought to light.

These webinars are held quarterly to support the increase of Korean-Indonesian collaboration prospects in the offshore industry, and also in Indonesia’s net-zero emissions and energy transition goals. KIORCC hopes to further support Korean EPC, technology, and equipment providers to take part in Indonesia’s vast and booming industry.
